Wishing you a Merry Merry Christmas

I love Christmas time.

I love that the decorations have gone up in the malls. I can browse forever at ever faithful Woolies, and look at the clever Christmas gift packs they have put together. Cookies in colorful antique decorated tins. Dried fruit in jars decorated with gingham material and satin ribbons. And then the ever magnificent Christmas Tree with lights that shimmer, and the personalized little baubles that hang for years being passed down from generation to generation. I love the absolute commercialism of Christmas, because in it is hidden some little secret message of magic that permeates through what is perceived as plastic and materialistic.

This is why I also love cards. It's simple and passes on a powerful message with words which you edit and create.

Little Rascals

The shiny part is actually glitter that shines through the spaces between the letters that hav been punched out.

I am using my cell phone camera to take the pics, so they not the best right now, my apologies.

I punched out Happy Birthday on all these cards

my baby love, my baby love, ooooh oooh my baby love....

My little cousin Fayzaan

It was my cousins sons birthday, a cute 2 year old, with a strange obsession with tools. So I could not resist going with that theme...

I used little wooden cut outs and painted them to make the tools look more realistic.

I LOVE YOU TO DEATH

How many ways are there to say I love you?

So Romeo said it with a rose. But like, "Helllooo, that was sooo last century". Montagu, Capulet, rival families, BIG DEAL??

The greatest love stories are now between humans and vampires, werewolves, spirits basically the living and the unbreathing, the dead.

Look at Edward and Bella (got your tickets to Breaking Dawn next week?)?
Or what about Sookie and Eric (cause Bill really is so boring!)
And then of cause Jacob and Bella too!!

These romances sizzles! And no insult to William and Katherine but Princes are out, and Vampires are in!

So enjoy my range which I call, " I LOVE YOU TO DEATH"

The Start

Hello

My name is Zuleigha and I am a card junkie.

My habit kicked in a few months ago. And right now, I spend all my cash, all my free time getting my fix at any scrap booking shop I can find. My family and friends no longer see me. I am stuck in a well lit room, till the wee hours of the night, using various versions of glue. I stack lines of glitters to create pretty patterns on paper. I stamp and ink until I find the perfect combination.

I am transfered to a different world.

I am a card addict and like a wise woman said, "i dont wanna go to rehab!"
